Be sure to attach the collar tight enough to ensure the collar is always coming into contact with your dog’s skin and hair.

Use the 2-finger rule: insert the end of the collar through the buckle, then adjust the collar so that it is possible to hold two fingers comfortably between the collar and the neck.

However, prolonged and frequent exposure to water or bathing may shorten the duration of effectiveness, so this should be avoided as much as possible.
